My first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Australian Champion Maleema Star Gazer “Khan” came to me in 1987 and so began my involvement in the canine world.
Milestones over the years since that time include meeting Kerin Hutchings of Suliman Afghans. This came about through our two infant daughters, Olivia and Brittany, playing together at dog shows. It wasn’t long before Kerin and I became friends and I easily became “hooked” on the Afghan Hound.
Out of Kerin’s first litter from her American import, American and Australian Grand Champion Kashara Spoilsport of Qamari “Derby”, we co-owned my first show Afghan Hound, Australian Champion Suliman Cloak ‘n’ Dagger “Dagger”. I am indebted to Kerin for so much - thank you.
Through Kerin I was introduced to Jim, Mary and Louise Hickie of the famous Gengala Afghans. Australian Grand Champion Gengala Cryptic Clue “Fanny” came to live with me in 2001. There aren’t enough words to describe what Fanny means to me – all I can say is thank you, Jim, Mary and Louise.
In 2003 a Dobermann, Australian Champion Cabochon Phire Phly joined us. Thanks to Lynne Harwood of Cabochon Dobermanns, Victoria.
My involvement in and enjoyment of the dog world couldn’t be what it is without the love and support of my partner, Michael, and my children, Brittany and Tyson.
